Events that influenced the exchange rate CHF/RON

2011-08-05 — Criza datoriilor zonei euro

2015-01-15 — BNS elimina plafonul EUR/CHF

About Franc elvețian (CHF)

The Swiss franc (CHF) is considered one of the most stable and secure currencies in the world. Switzerland is not part of the EU or the eurozone, and the SNB has independent monetary policies. CHF is important for Romania because many mortgage loans were granted in CHF before 2008, and fluctuations in the CHF/RON exchange rate directly affect the monthly installments of these loans.

2
Tactile elements: Fine raised lines are perceptible to the touch, especially the denomination numeral.
3
Transparent globe: Each banknote has a small metallic globe containing a Swiss cross and the denomination, visible when tilted.
4
UV perforations: Under UV light, small perforations form a Swiss cross.
5
Multi-level security: The Swiss franc is considered one of the hardest currencies to counterfeit in the world.
Important: If you suspect you have a counterfeit banknote, do not try to use it. Take it to the nearest bank or police station.
