What is ROBOR?
ROBOR (Romanian Interbank Offer Rate) is the average interest rate at which Romanian banks lend to each other. It is calculated daily by Thomson Reuters based on quotes from panel banks.
What is IRCC?
IRCC (Consumer Credit Reference Index) is the arithmetic average of daily interbank transaction interest rates from the previous quarter. It is published quarterly by BNR and applied to new consumer loans in RON.
How does it affect the loan rate?
Loan rate = reference index (ROBOR or IRCC) + fixed bank margin. If 3M ROBOR rises from 5% to 6%, the monthly payment increases proportionally.
