About Dolar australian (AUD)

The Australian dollar (AUD) is the currency of Australia, introduced in 1966 to replace the Australian pound. Australia was a pioneer in polymer banknotes, launching the world's first plastic banknote in 1988. AUD is one of the most traded currencies globally (ranked in the top 5 by BIS) and is considered a commodity currency, closely tied to exports of iron ore, coal, and gold.
