Import/Export rules RSD — Romania and EU

Import (entry into Romania)

Serbia is not in the EU. Declaration at customs from the equivalent of 10,000 EUR.

Export (exit from Romania)

When leaving Serbia, cash amounts exceeding 10,000 EUR equivalent must be declared.

EU EU rules

Serbia is a third country. Mandatory declaration at EU external borders.

General EU rule: Any person entering or leaving the EU with cash amounts of 10,000 EUR or equivalent must declare them at customs (EU Regulation 2018/1672). Non-declaration can lead to confiscation of the amount and fines.
